After Steve retired in 1985, Tim took over the glass shop. In 1989, Abe Cohen Auto Parts decided to move their business to Hermitage and close the glass shop. When the decision was made to close the glass shop, Tim bought the equipment from Abe Cohen and started his own glass shop. His first location was at the old Frank Martuccio gas station on Mercer Avenue in Hermitage. The garage had 2 service bays and an office. Tim did all the auto glass and mirror work himself while his wife, Mary Beth, did all the bookwork. He eventually hired another employee as the business grew. In 1995, Pro Auto Glass was outgrowing their original location, and Tim and Mary Beth decided to buy their own building. They purchased the former Burger Baby Furniture store located at 1430 N. Hermitage Road. At that time, there were few businesses located in the area. Since our move, the neighborhood has seen the addition of many businesses, including Goldstein's Furniture, Stupka Motors, and Super Wal*Mart. The Burger Baby Furniture building was renovated to accommodate an auto glass repair shop. In 2003, we again renovated and built an addition to the front. This made room for more autos to be serviced in the rear of the building and a new, comfortable office and waiting area in the front. Awnings were added to the front windows and the driveway was paved. This makes Pro Auto Glass the most modern automotive glass repair shop in the Shenango Valley.
